05/05/2008 - Time Capsule Key Burial Ceremony at Cathedral Square

CSC In The News | Press Releases | Public Service Announcements | Radio Spots

In celebration of its 30th Anniversary, Cathedral Square Corporation (CSC) staff and residents have prepared a time capsule and will bury the key to the capsule at a ceremony on May 8, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., at Cathedral Square Senior Living, Cathedral Square's first property located at Three Cathedral Square in Burlington, Vermont. The Time Capsule Key Burial Ceremony will be held in the Assisted Living dining room on the 1st floor. The ceremony will include guest speakers, a poetry reading, a visit from Father Time, time capsule display and key burial.

The time capsule was designed to educate our next generation about the decades of progress and improvement in housing options for seniors and persons with special needs and our hopes for the future. The contents of the time capsule include resident letters and artwork, photos, news clippings, a resolution by Congressman Peter Welch honoring CSC, Governor Douglas's Proclamation of Cathedral Square Housing Day, CSC newsletters, and other memorabilia. The time capsule will be sealed and stored in Cathedral Square's main office at 412 Farrell Street until 2026, the 50th anniversary year of incorporation. The general public is invited to attend this event. Refreshments will be served.

Cathedral Square Corporation is an award-winning developer, owner and manager of affordable housing for older Vermonters and individuals with disabilities. CSC is proud to be an American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) Quality First participant and an equal opportunity employer and housing provider.
