Cathedral Square was recently handed the keys to their twenty fourth property, nearly one year to the day after the first discussion of purchasing the property took place. Fourwinds Senior Housing has been part of the St. Albans community since 1980. With the help of Cathedral Square, Fourwinds will be able to provide many more years of affordable housing to area seniors.

Residents from the 44 homes at Fourwinds applauded when it was announced that Cathedral Square officially owned the property. “It was a great feeling to know the residents were as excited about us owning the property as we were,” stated Jaime Audette, Property Manager. “I’m looking forward to getting to know the residents and finding out what we can do to make their home a better place to live.”

Tim Ashe, Project Manager for Cathedral Square, spoke to the residents about the changes they would see made to the property this summer. “You’ll see some major changes, like the improvements in the parking lot, to minor changes like an area added to the community room near your mailboxes specifically for Fourwinds community information.” The residents may have disruptions from time to time throughout the upcoming months while these enhancements are made, but none of them seem to mind knowing they are in the hands of Cathedral Square.

Cathedral Square Corporation is an award-winning developer, owner and manager of affordable housing for older Vermonters and individuals with disabilities.
