Nancy Eldridge, Executive Director said, “This event is a celebration for our 1,054 residents. The Cathedral Church of St. Paul created CSC for the purpose of “creating a community” at Three Cathedral. Thirty years later, over 40 communities have been created thanks to our founders.”
The event will feature a time capsule that will be opened at CSC’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2027. Residents and attendees at the celebration will vote on which Cathedral Square property the key to the time capsule will be buried. The event will also feature a replica of Cathedral Square Senior Living made by Carl Carleton, a resident of Falcon Manor in Williston, Vermont. Carl and his wife Nancy are celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary this month and Carl enjoys spending time in the woodworking shop at Falcon Manor. Carl said, “I’ve put my heart and soul into making this replica, I wanted something special to do for this important event.”
Other celebration events include a silent auction, photo exhibit of all CSC properties and projects around the state, resident arts and crafts display, ticket raffle for South Burlington Community Housing, special tributes, cash bar, hors d’oeuvres and music provided by Top Hat Entertainment. The event is sponsored in part by Eric Farrell, F&M Development Company, LLC, Jeanne Morrissey – J.A. Morrissey, Inc., Hackett Valine and MacDonald, Inc. and MEMIC Indemnity Company. This event is free and open to the general public.
