BURLINGTON - Cathedral Square Corporation invites the public to the First Annual Ruggles House Holiday Fundraiser, Thursday, December 8, from 4pm to 6pm. Funds raised at this event will be used to support services offered to senior residents at Ruggles House. Featured guests are Mary Kay Kennedy, Vice President, Student Services, Champlain College and Karen Meyer, Vice President, State and Federal Relations, University of Vermont. A brief program of holiday music will be performed by The Treble Choir and Canterbury Ensemble of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, a local children's choir. A minimum donation of $30 is suggested.
Ruggles House, located at 262 South Prospect Street in Burlington, is a 15 unit service enriched senior housing community. Originally built in the 1800's, the house was expanded by a lumber baron who enhanced the home with ornate woodwork. Ruggles House is a shared housing community designed for seniors who wish to remain socially active and independent with the support of on-site services.
